About Fiji
Based in the Koro Sea about 1,300 miles (2,100 km) north of Auckland, New Zealand, the archipelago of the Fiji is a stunning group of pearl like islands scattered in the South Pacific Ocean. Nothing can entirely set you up for the magnificence of Fiji.
Fiji is blessed with an abundance of fresh seafood like fish, octopus, and shellfish, and it is obvious that Fijian food is heavily influenced by and dependent on what the ocean has to offer. Traditional Fijian dishes include a vast variety of shellfish, seaweed, octopus, sea cucumber, sea urchin, turtle, shark, and of course fish. The island is home to various species of seafood, one of its islands in particular, Vatulele has a profusion of red prawns, which are hardly seen in any other islands in the country.
The island nation is home to a variety of innumerable fruits and vegetables, which is proven to always infuse fresh flavors into your daily diet!
